    We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager, to work with our Sales and Account Management teams, to demonstrate travel-related technologies to our clients.

    As a Product Manager, you will play a critical role in planning and executing the product strategy and roadmap for our product solutions. This is both a strategic and hands-on role focused upon optimizing the revenue stream from our product offerings, while looking for opportunities to continually improve all aspects of these product offerings, to meet evolving market needs.

    In this role, you will not only be tasked with driving top-line revenue growth and bottom-line profitability, but you will also create the business case that drives further investment in our products’ capabilities.  Once innovation or enhancement opportunities are identified, and accepted for funding by the executive leadership team, you will manage the product through the entire product lifecycle, including refining the product vision, articulating or adjusting the product strategy, gathering market and business requirements, and actualizing the product roadmap. Your efforts must be aligned with the company’s overarching business strategy and goals.

    You will need to actively engage with customers and prospects to gain a deep understanding of their needs, in order to identify quantifiable opportunities.  Targeted market research and ongoing customer contact will help you develop lucrative ideas and bring them to market.

    The Product Manager will lead the analysis, documentation, and management of business requirements, and will ensure that requirements are fully understood by the client and the technical team, in order to facilitate the design and implementation of competitive software solutions. The Product Manager will participate in defining and developing new features of the application, will work to enhance existing application features, and will oversee the development of those features from inception to release.

    The Product Manager is responsible for defining detailed actionable requirements at the feature story level, from the high-level requirements gathered.  The Product Manager will lead the product roadmap initiatives through the software development cycle, including design, development, testing, documentation, release and training. You will serve as the internal and external advocate for your product offering, ensuring that customer satisfaction is met.

    Responsibilities

    • Understanding complex business needs and translating them into detailed, executable functional requirements.
    • Coordinate and monitor technical projects from initiation through delivery.
    • Align with marketing to ensure consistency of all client related technology collateral.
    • Evaluate a variety of business needs and analyze their impact on the product, helping teams to execute on ideas quickly.
    • Prioritize a backlog of work specific to the project so the development team can plan, estimate, and allocate resources appropriately.
    • Collaborate with business owners, clients, and development resources in the product design and software development process.
    • Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements and work closely with development to oversee and approve product designs, enhancements, and quality.
    • Work closely with end users to analyze, define, model, and document systems requirements.
    • Be available to the development team to address ongoing questions, concerns, feedback.  Being actively engaged with the team to help build the best product possible.
    • Develop, maintain and manage relationships with stakeholders, keeping them informed of key issues and engaged throughout project lifecycles
    • Writing detailed functional requirement documents, workflows, use cases and training materials.
    • Writing test cases and execute auditing and testing.
    • Serve as liaisons between technical and non-technical departments in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met.
    • Serve as Technical Support liaison to Customer Service in regard to issue tracking and problem resolution.
    • Act as subject matter expert for specific components of the application, and support the release of the specific product features.
    • Regularly engage with customers to understand and validate their evolving business needs and gather the necessary inputs to enhance your product
    • Lead the development of detailed business plans, product vision and strategy, tactical roadmaps and high-level business requirements that align with, and support attainment of, company objectives
    • Articulate the financial and/or operational benefits associated with proposed capabilities.
    • Act as the primary evangelist and point of contact for your product or product idea both internally and externally.
    • Provide sales and marketing support, including pricing, sales demos, trainings, core positioning and messaging (as appropriate).
    • Define a repeatable process to facilitate the implementation and deployment of the product to clients, and offer support as needed.
    • Manage the product lifecycle of your products from concept to phase out.
    • Travel is required 15% of the time.

    Qualifications

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree, related field, or equivalent experience required.
    • 3-5 years of successful product management, preferably in a SaaS environment.
    • Travel Industry experience is a plus.
    • Management experience is preferred.
    • Experience and working knowledge of agile development methodologies is a plus.

    Skills
